The Environmental Justice Foundation is an international environment and human rights charity, with a mission to ‘protect people and planet’.
EJF carries out in-depth investigations in-situ and campaigns to secure environmental justice in some of the world’s poorest countries, where the destruction of natural environments undermines fundamental human rights.
We are an international campaigning organization with huge impact. Our oceans campaign and its extensive investigations, vessel surveillance and supply chain tracking have exposed abuse and prompted arrests, new laws and enforcement action across the world that are curbing illegal ‘pirate’ fishing fleets and reducing ‘seafood slavery’ in West Africa and Asia.
We build grassroots initiatives to protect sharks, turtles and other marine wildlife and the natural habitats they depend on, while enabling local communities to protect their fisheries from foreign ‘pirate’ fishers.
Our work to secure legally binding protection for climate refugees, while highlighting the dangers that climate change poses to global peace and security is gaining attention, strength and traction. EJF is giving voice to the people who feel the first and worst impacts of climate change. We are determined to secure protection for climate refugees, and secure climate justice in our warming world.
EJF’s investigative methodology is allied with the highest level of focused advocacy, reaching Presidents and Prime Ministers. Our use of film in our investigations has been central to the delivery of our high-impact campaigns and our successes.
EJF is lean, agile, creative and results-focused. Join our world-leading team of professionals to help protect people, wildlife, wild places and our shared natural world.
