GREEN OPERATIONS AND MARKETING MANAGER

GREEN OPERATIONS AND MARKETING MANAGER

Organisation: Green Coding Berlin
Ort: Remote/ Berlin, Germany

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to join our organization as a Operations and Marketing Manager (OMM). The OMM will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing our company’s day-to-day operations, fundraising and general customer/ client outreach.

Please note that we are looking for someone that is fluent enough to write a grant proposal in german! If you don’t speak enough german you can still apply but please elaborate on your plan to help us in the near future.

At Green Coding Berlin we create a green software community and ecosystem in Berlin.

Our goal is to shape the industry for the better in terms of using software in a sustainable way. We strongly believe in the positive impact of digitalization. But we believe it must be done responsibly with awareness of consumption and with strong planning to avoid rebound effects.

Therefore we create tools to measure the energy use of software in CI-Build-Pipelines, VMs, Containers and User Desktop environments. All of our software is Free and Open-Source Software to be used by anyone.

Our flagship work is an open-source green software toolchain that lets you quantify the energy consumption of arbitrary software in typical real world usage scenarios.

WHAT YOU WILL BE WORKING ON:

  • Develop and implement operational strategies, policies, and procedures to drive organizational growth and success.
  • Develop the future roadmap of the company in collaboration with the other department heads
  • Research and identify potential funding sources and grant opportunities
  • Develop and write grant proposals, including budgets and project plans
  • Oversee budgeting, financial planning, and resource allocation to support operational goals.
  • Represent the company externally

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven experience in a leadership role, preferably as a Operational and/or Marketing position or in a similar capacity.
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking, with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with a track record of building high-performing teams.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.

Please note that the above list of responsibilities and qualifications is not exhaustive, and not all points are required. The specific requirements and expectations may vary depending on the nature of your qualifications.

OUR PLACE IN THE GREEN SOFTWARE ECOSYSTEM
