Impact Management Specialist (m/f/d)

Key responsibilities:

  • Contribute to regular updates and refinements of existing impact frameworks and tools of Finance in Motion and its funds
  • Support the implementation of impact frameworks in day-to-day business, including in the funds’ investment cycles in cooperation with investment teams
  • Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis of portfolio impacts; guide impact studies and evaluations; build and maintain a good understanding of existing research and evidence for impact in Finance in Motion’s priority sectors
  • Monitor evolving approaches on impact measurement and reporting within the impact investing industry, assess the implications for the company and inform uptake as applicable
  • Track industry initiatives related to impact and sustainability topics; ensure dissemination of knowledge on relevant impact management and sustainability topics within the company
  • Contribute to impact communication, (investor) reporting and disclosure; inform exchanges on impact and sustainability matters with internal and external stakeholders
  • Contribute to internal knowledge management

What we expect:

  • University degree in development finance, social sciences, monitoring & evaluation, or a related field
  • Relevant work experience, preferably including exposure to emerging markets
  • Excellent overview of recent trends regarding impact management concepts
  • Experience in developing and managing impact frameworks for impact-driven projects or organizations, ideally for impact asset managers or investors
  • Understanding of sustainable finance trends and initiatives
  • Understanding of responsible finance frameworks and approaches would be considered an asset
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Open and engaging communication style and great interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; knowledge of German and/or other languages of Finance in Motion’s countries of operation is considered a plus
  • Demonstrable commitment to Finance in Motion´s vision/mission
