Exploring different approaches and new ideas is especially important during these globally challenging times – even more so with regards to the current growth-based economy and unstable financial system. Continuing on the success of last year, the AEMS (Alternative Economic and Monetary Systems) Summer School will be back in an upgraded online version in 2021 to discuss alternative approaches and bring these new ideas straight to you. The annual event is organized by the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna, oead student housing and the Economy for the Common Good. The AEMS summer school is open to students and professionals from all fields who strive to create a more just and green future. Highlights of the AEMS 2021 program will include lectures and exchanges on: How can financial markets serve the broader interests of society rather than to dominate them? What are solutions to the financial crisis triggered by COVID-19? What are alternatives to the current economic and monetary system? Participants receive an official certificate worth 5 ECTS from BOKU University upon completion of the program. Fee: 990 EUR (applications for reduced price / scholarships are possible).
